Garage Lounge, an acclaimed independent café, graces the bustling Albert Road with its vibrant presence. Catering to a lively clientele, the café needed a furniture solution that would not only stand up to high usage but also create a comforting ambience. They turned to Hartts Construction for assistance.

To meet the café’s needs, we tapped into a unique source – timber reclaimed from a 15th-century granary. This history-laden wood provided a rich, character-filled canvas for our work. We designed and meticulously handcrafted bespoke tables from this remarkable material, ensuring each piece seamlessly blended with Garage Lounge’s unique charm. These tables now stand as inviting islands where customers can unwind, engage in conversation, and savour their meals.

A special touch lies in the lacquered finish of these bespoke pieces. Not only does it lend resilience against scratches and scuffs, but it also showcases the deep patina and unique features of the centuries-old timber. This thoughtful feature ensures their longevity and makes them easy to clean, preparing them promptly for the next set of patrons eager to enjoy Garage Lounge’s delightful offerings.
